A shot I made for the Seven Stars Re-Animate Project, which is another group re-animation project, this time re-animating an episode from the classic anime Dragon Ball.

This time I experimented more with puppet-style cut-out animation, which allows me to utilize a much more complex visual coloring style. The elements are painted using custom Photoshop brushes to give them the grungy textured look. The puppet rig are made using the plug-in duIK in AfterEffects.
